Overnight oats with strawberries, figs and super seeds

Strawberry, fig and super seed oats

Forget porridge! With a little prep before bed, you can wake up to these comforting overnight oats. This breakfast recipe is delicious served with strawberries, figs and a medley of seeds

Ingredients

Basic overnight oats

  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup natural almonds, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Strawberry, fig and super seed oats

  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup linseeds
  • 1/2 punnet strawberries, chopped
  • sliced strawberries, sliced figs and extra seeds, to serve

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine milk, oats, almonds, honey, vanilla and seeds. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight.
  2. Heat oats on medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring, until warmed through. Stir chopped strawberries through while heating.
  3. Top with extra strawberries, figs and seeds. Drizzle with extra honey to serve.
