French toast

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cream or milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 slices thick brioche (or other bread)
  • 15 g butter
  • icing sugar, to dust
  • mixed berries, maple syrup, to serve

Steps

French toast

  1. Place eggs, cream or milk, sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Whisk to combine.
  2. Soak brioche in egg mixture for a few seconds each side.
  3. Heat the butter in a frying pan on medium. When the butter is foaming, place the soaked brioche slices in the frying pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes each side or until golden.
  4. Dust with icing sugar, top with berries and drizzle with maple syrup.
