French toast
Ingredients
French toast
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup cream or milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 slices thick brioche (or other bread)
- 15 g butter
- icing sugar, to dust
- mixed berries, maple syrup, to serve
Steps
French toast
- Place eggs, cream or milk, sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Whisk to combine.
- Soak brioche in egg mixture for a few seconds each side.
- Heat the butter in a frying pan on medium. When the butter is foaming, place the soaked brioche slices in the frying pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes each side or until golden.
- Dust with icing sugar, top with berries and drizzle with maple syrup.
