Method

1.Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease and line a 20cm square cake pan.
2.In a large saucepan, heat butter, sugar and milk together for 2-3 minutes, stirring until melted and combined. Cool slightly.
3.Sift flour, cocoa and soda into the saucepan. Stir in eggs and irish cream until smooth. Pour into prepared pan.
4.Bake for 35-40 minutes until cooked when tested with a skewer. Cool in pan for 5 minutes before turning onto a wire rack to cool.
5.To make the ganache, heat cream in a small saucepan until just boiling. Remove from heat and stir chocolate through until melted and smooth. Set aside to cool completely. Spread over cold cake.
