Are you a dessert king or queen? Food magazine is on the hunt for New Zealand's best dessert!

Whether it's a perfect pavlova, a tantalising trifle or a cheeky cheesecake, we want you to send us your family recipes. All we ask is that it is an original recipe, not one from a recipe book or magazine. Our judges will identify the top desserts, which will appear in the Food magazine July/August issue. From there readers will vote for their favourite.

The creator of New Zealand's best dessert will win a prize pack worth more than $2000! It includes a VIP experience at Auckland's Chelsea Bay and a Breville Bakery Boss mixer, plus there are runner's up prizes and spot prizes for those who vote. The winner's prize includes:

  • A money-can't-buy VIP experience for four people at Chelsea Sugar's new attraction Chelsea Bay
  • Flights and accommodation (if the winner is located outside Auckland)
